Yuan Peng currently serves as a Principal Materials and Processes Engineer for the New Glenn rocket program at Blue Origin, focusing on umbilicals component and sub-system development tests and production. Previously, Yuan held the role of Principal M&P Engineer - Tribologist within the Blue Engine Design Office, contributing to the BE4 Turbo Integrated Product Team. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Material Scientist and Tech Fellow at GGB Bearing Technology/Timken, where Yuan was a lead innovator of PTFE self-lubricating bearing products, and as a Senior Experimental Engineer at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, focusing on tribology for A/C compressor bearing materials. Yuan holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
