Gabriella Gilkes is a seasoned professional in the fields of marine science and public engagement, currently serving as the Senior Program Manager for Blue Carbon Seascape Survey at Blue Marine Foundation since May 2022. Gabriella has been honored as the Section President for the British Science Association in Science and the Arts for the 2023-2024 term. Prior experience includes leadership roles such as Head of Science Engagement and Science Programme Manager at Eden Project, where strategic initiatives focused on life sciences and public engagement were developed. Gabriella's scientific expertise was also demonstrated as an On Board Scientist for Fondation Tara Océan and as a Marine Research Assistant at Oceanic Institute. Educational qualifications include multiple degrees from the University of Cambridge, Universidad de Cádiz, and the University of Plymouth, specializing in social and political science as well as marine sciences and coastal management.
