Farooq Ahmed has worked in the software engineering industry for over 25 years. Farooq began their career in 1996 as a Software Engineer for Cressoft Inc. Farooq was then promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Sofar Inc. in 2001. In 2014, Farooq co-founded Simple Continuity, a SaaS company, where they built RADAR, a business impact analysis tool. In 2015, they co-founded ReachOut Tech, a company specializing in social media apps. From 2006 to 2019, Farooq was the Owner & Principle at Borders Solutions, where they helped teams deliver scalable and maintainable solutions. In 2019, they co-founded Koachee, an online coaching marketplace. Farooq is currently an Engineering Manager at Blue J, where they are developing a suite of tools for tax and labor & employment professionals with machine learning and AI.

Farooq Ahmed completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Karachi University in 1993. Farooq then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Karachi University in 1995. In 2020, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
