Israel Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Israel started their career in 2007 as a Teller at Bank of America before transitioning to Apple in 2010 where they worked as a Tier 1 Advisor. In 2012, they returned to Bank of America as a Credit Card Analyst II. Israel then entered the actuarial field, working at The IHC Group from 2013 to 2014, Mercer from 2014 to 2015, and Actuarial Strategies & Tactics, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Israel joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona as an Actuarial Analyst in 2017 and later became a Benefits Consultant at Wakely Consulting Group in 2019. Israel's most recent role is as a Lead Actuarial Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, which they started in 2022.

Israel Alvarez attended Arizona State University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics. Israel studied at the W. P. Carey School of Business within Arizona State University during the same period.
