Tom then pursued their medical degree and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1995 from the same institution. Following that, Tom completed a residency in Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1996 to 1999. Tom furthered their specialization with a fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Boston Children's Hospital, which they completed from 1999 to 2001.
