Michael Starks is a Software Engineer at Blue Canyon Technologies since June 2023. Previously, Starks served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia's Heterogeneous Robotics Lab from January 2021 to May 2023, focusing on Multi-Robot Systems and the development of a Swarm Robot Platform. Starks also contributed to the Dr. Yohannes Abate Nano Optics Research Group, researching neuromorphic materials, particularly the electrical properties of Rare Earth Nickelates, from May 2021 to February 2023. Additionally, Starks gained industry experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Vecna Robotics, where programming skills were utilized to develop testing solutions, and as an IT Intern at Georgia United Credit Union, providing tier one IT support. Starks holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Georgia and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Embedded Systems Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, slated for completion in May 2024.
