Andrejs Strods has a long and varied work experience. Andrejs began their career as an Engineer and Research Fellow at the Institute of Electronics, Latvian Academy of Sciences in 1985. In 1992, they became the Managing Director of SOFT-TRONIK. In 1993, they became the President of Blue Bridge Riga, an IT System Integrator Company specialised in networking, security solutions, and automation projects. In 2001, they became the Director of Elko Latvia. In 2003, they became the Director of Board at New Vision Baltija, where they were responsible for business development on a regional level and post-merger integration and operations restructuring. In 2005, they became the Director of International Sales at n-tree solutions Ticketsysteme GmbH, where they were responsible for developing the global sales organisation and partner network. In 2007, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Bridge Technologies, a fast-growing technology provider for Healthcare and Insurance. In 2010, they became a Board Member of eDirect SAAS Ltd. In 2012, they became the Course Director of Entrepreneurship at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, where they co-authored and led an innovative course and initiated and actively participated as a member of the teaching team for an Entrepreneurship specialization course. In 2015, they became the Co-Founder of Benebay, an online self-insurance platform for small and medium sized employer groups in the USA.
Andrejs Strods received their Master of Science (MSc) in Radioengineering from Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) between 1981 and 1986. Andrejs then attended London Business School in 1999 for a course in Finance. Finally, they completed an Executive MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics between 2008 and 2010.
