Alexandra Antscherl has over 27 years of experience in the publishing industry. Alexandra is currently the Editorial Director for Children's Fiction at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. Prior to this, they held the role of Editorial Director for Enid Blyton Entertainment and Fiction Brands at Hachette Children's Group, where they were responsible for the global publishing strategy and intellectual property of Enid Blyton. Alexandra also managed the publishing for various big brands, classics, and major authors. Alexandra has also worked at Penguin Random House UK as an Executive Editor, acquiring and editing children's fiction. Alexandra has experience in managing major brands and working with debut and established authors. During their tenure at Random House Children's Books and TRANSWORLD PUBLISHERS LIMITED, they served as a Senior Commissioning Editor and Editor for children's fiction, respectively. Alexandra began their career at HarperCollins Publishers as a Desk Editor and Editorial Assistant for children's fiction and picture books. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong passion for children's literature and has expertise in managing brands, acquiring and editing diverse fiction, and developing successful publishing strategies.
Alexandra Antscherl attended the University of Oxford from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a BA Hons degree in History.
