Richard Lai is a seasoned professional in the finance and technology sectors, currently serving as the Global Head of Bloomberg Alternative Data at Bloomberg LP since December 2020. In this role, Richard leads innovation and incubation efforts focused on cutting-edge solutions for clients. Previously, Richard was the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Earnest Research following the acquisition of Alpha Hat, where Richard co-founded and served as Chief Business Officer. Richard has also held various roles including Advisor at AltHub LLC, Managing Partner at Talanton Partners, and Investment Analyst at OppenheimerFunds and BlackRock. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSE in Finance and Accounting from The Wharton School.
