Sam Blackett has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. They began their career as a Research Intern at ITV in 2010. In 2012, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Network Rail. Following that, Sam served as the Ents Manager for Queens' May Ball, where they oversaw the organization of the largest May Ball on record in Oxbridge. In 2014, Sam held roles as an External Consultant at Mondelēz International, and as an Assistant Publicist at Gaby Jerrard PR.

From 2015 to 2017, Sam worked as a Commercial & Strategy Executive at Discovery Communications, where they assisted the President of Discovery Networks UK & Ireland and managed partnership campaigns and online distribution deals. After that, Sam joined A Better Florist as the Head of Business Development & Growth, playing a crucial role in expanding the company's customer-centric gift delivery services in Southeast Asia.

In 2019, Sam became the Head of Deliveroo for Business, leading the successful relaunch and growth of the business unit in the Middle East. They were responsible for the P&L, strategy development, and managing a team of five.

Currently, Sam is working at Bloom & Wild as the UK Commercial Lead, a role they began in 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Business Strategy Manager, starting in 2020, at the same company.

Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated expertise in various areas, such as operations, strategy, growth, and product development. They have also gained valuable experience in managing teams, budgets, and business development.

Sam Blackett attended Framwellgate School Durham from 2004 to 2009. They then attended Durham Johnston Sixth Form from 2009 to 2011. Sam went on to study at the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Engineering from 2011 to 2014. They pursued further education at the same institution, receiving a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Manufacturing Engineering from 2014 to 2015.
