Natarajan Subramanian has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Natarajan began their career as a Scientist at DRDO, India from 1992 to 1997. Natarajan then worked as a Software Lead at VeriFone from 1997 to 1999. After that, they joined GE Homeland Protection, Inc. as a Software Engineer and later moved to GE Security as a Sr Software Engineer from 1999 to 2006. Subsequently, they worked as a Software Architect at Morpho Detection, Inc. and GE Security from 2006 to 2023. In 2017, they took on the role of Chief Software Architect at Smiths Detection and Smiths Group plc. In 2023, they became a Lead Consultant in the CTO's Office at Leidos, and currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Software Engineering at Bloom Energy.

Natarajan Subramanian obtained an M.Sc degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore between the years 1989 and 1991.
