Gabor Pap is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the Developer Tools team at Block since March 2021, focusing on enhancing the developer experience for Block engineers. Prior to this role, Gabor served as an engineering manager at Square from July 2017 to March 2021, where responsibilities included building and onboarding a new infrastructure team for Square Hardware. Gabor also has a strong background in research, having worked at Vanderbilt University from January 2003 to June 2017 in various engineering roles, where significant accomplishments included designing a data sharing platform and guiding teams on best practices. Gabor's earlier experience includes positions as a senior software engineer and consultant, showcasing a solid foundation in software development and project management. Gabor holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
