Dr Benjamin Roullier has extensive work experience in various roles and companies, showcasing their expertise in data science, research, and engineering. Dr Benjamin began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, where they focused on the design and characterization of equipment for experiments. Dr Benjamin then worked as a Research Engineer at the Efficient Fossil Energy Technologies Centre, conducting numerical modeling to assess the environmental impact of underground coal gasification. Dr Roullier later joined Resonate as a Data Scientist, specializing in algorithmic solutions for railway operations. Currently, they are the Product Development Lead at bloc digital, where they are involved in automating 3D model conversion using machine learning and leading software development for immersive digital twins. Their research interests also extend to maintenance data collection and management.
Dr Benjamin Roullier completed their education with a Doctor of Engineering EngD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained the certification of "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft in the year 2022.
