Brian Waugh has worked in a variety of roles in the marketing and communications industry since 2012. In 2012, they worked as a Landscape Foreman for Homestyle Landscaping, where they managed the work site and crew, organized the landscaping process, and communicated with the client and designer. In 2014, they worked as an Archery Instructor for Jax Mercantile Co., where they managed the archery range and shooting line, ran and instructed large shooting sessions, and taught customers how to shoot traditional and compound bows. Also in 2014, they worked as the Firm Director and Assistant Firm Director for RamPR, where they scheduled and facilitated meetings with prospects, maintained the chapter email, sought out new clientele, planned on-campus events, and oversaw current projects. Additionally, they were the Strategic Communications Officer for CSU PRSSA, where they prepared agendas and schedules, maintained records of current members' information and dues, and notified PRSSA Headquarters and PRSA sponsors of the chapter. In 2015, they worked as a Digital Marketing Intern for Encompass Technologies, LLP, where they were assigned to aid in the building of the company website and social media platforms, manage SEO, and handle digital communication tactics and consumer profile updates. Finally, from 2016 to present, they have worked as the Director of Marketing, Director of Search Marketing, and Digital Marketing Specialist for BLKDG.

Brian Waugh obtained their High School Diploma from Arapahoe High School in 2011. Brian then attended Colorado State University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Public Relations and Advertising. Brian also has several certifications, including ACA Swiftwater Resuce from the American Canoe Association (obtained in May 2019), AIARE 1 from the Colorado Mountain School (obtained in February 2019), Open Water Diver from Underwater Phantaseas.com (obtained in May 2010), and Level 1 Archery Instructor from USA Archery.
