Thiago Vieira is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as Principal in Data Science for Portfolio Operations at Blackstone since November 2019. Vieira leads a team focused on building scalable data science models and processes for both Blackstone and its portfolio companies. Prior to Blackstone, Vieira contributed as a Data Science Consultant for Bain Private Equity in 2019 and held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Delivery Hero from 2018 to 2019, where significant contributions included improving logistics through machine learning models. Vieira's background also encompasses experience as a Full Stack Data Engineer at Composable Analytics, a Teaching Assistant at MIT's Computer Science Department, and a Trading Analyst at D. E. Shaw & Co, along with various roles during education at MIT, including research in smart electrical grids and co-founding an educational initiative in India. Vieira holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed a Bachelor's degree with majors in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Physics, along with a minor in Economics.
