Lionel Assant currently serves as the Global Co-Chief Investment Officer and European Head of Private Equity at Blackstone, a position held since 2003. Prior to joining Blackstone, Lionel Assant worked at Goldman Sachs from 1996 to 2003 as an Executive Director in the Private Equity Division in London. Lionel Assant is an alumnus of École Polytechnique, having completed studies there from 1993 to 1996.
