Sandy Lee is one of the Student Support and Wellbeing Coordinators at B&FC and works alongside the tutors in Leadership Management and Lifestyle to support the students with declared learning needs.
She has previously worked in local government in Policy and Performance, with 9 years at Blackpool Council, managing a team responsible for Equality and Diversity, Strategy and Partnerships, Public Relations, Performance Management, Research and Development, and Health Improvement.
Sandy then retrained to become a primary school teacher and worked in a number of schools in Blackpool and Wyre.
The role at B&FC provides an opportunity to utilise the skills from her previous careers and continue to work with the local community, overcoming barriers and improving life chances.
Sandy has embraced the opportunity for lifelong learning and having gained a degree in Applied Statistics, went on to achieve a post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies and a PGCE at different stages in her life.
