Emma Coats has worked in a variety of roles since 2016. Emma began as a Corps Member at Jumpstart in 2016, followed by an Intern at ParentLink in 2017. Emma then worked as a Teacher at Bright Start Academy in 2017, before becoming a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2018. In 2019, they took on the role of Foster Care Case Manager at Great Circle, followed by Kinship Navigator at Friends of Foster Children in 2020. Emma is currently a Life Sciences & Technology Recruiter at Black Diamond Networks since 2022.

Emma Coats obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 2014 and 2017. Emma then pursued a Master's degree in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they completed in 2019.
