Josh Thomson serves as the Head of Automation at Blackbird IT since May 2021, previously holding the role of Senior Engineer. Prior experience includes significant positions at Nova Systems from June 2012 to May 2021, where Josh advanced from ICT Helpdesk and Support Engineer to ICT Infrastructure Projects Lead, overseeing critical strategic initiatives and system maintenance tasks involving Cisco ASA, Windows and Linux Servers, and Microsoft Azure. Additionally, Josh's career began at the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology as an ICT Service Desk Officer. Early experience includes a team member and shift supervisor role at KFC, where responsibilities included profit and loss oversight and store operations. Educational credentials comprise a Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking from TAFE SA and a South Australian Certificate of Education from Trinity College Gawler.
