Brian Havlovick has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. Brian is currently the Director of Engineering at Black Mountain Software, where they utilize their strategic thinking and leadership skills. Prior to this, they worked at Applied Materials for almost a decade, starting as a Senior Electrical Engineer and eventually being promoted to the role of Electrical Engineering Manager. In this position, they managed the largest engineering group in R&D. Before that, Brian worked at Zinc Air, Inc. as a Senior Electrical Engineer, leading system design and installation efforts for grid-scale energy-storage systems. Brian also has experience as an Operations Engineer at DRS Technologies, where they played a crucial role in improving efficiency in the manufacturing operation. Brian also has entrepreneurial experience as the Owner and Product Development/Systems Engineering Consultant at Dynamic Solutions, Inc. Additionally, they served as the Engineering Manager at Technical and Management Service Corporation (TAMSCO), where they led the development-engineering department and grew the engineering group. Earlier in their career, Brian worked as a Project Engineer at M&S Systems and as a Design Engineer at Texas Instruments, where they contributed to the systems integration and test group and participated in the introduction and support of radar systems.

Brian Havlovick completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman. Brian attended the university from 1982 to 1986. In addition, they obtained various certifications from different institutions. In 2022, they completed the "OKR Certification: Leadership and Goal Setting" course from Coursera. In 2021, they obtained certifications in "Planning and Releasing Software with JIRA," "Communicating in Times of Change," "Communicating with Diplomacy and Tact," "Process Improvement Foundations," and "Tech Career Skills: Effective Technical Communication" from LinkedIn. In 2019, they completed "Project Management: Technical Projects" and "Body Language for Leaders" certifications, also from LinkedIn.
