Pope has extensive experience in technical marketing and information security. Currently serving as the Technical Marketing Engineering Director and Customer Training Director at Corelight since September 2021, Pope also holds the position of Chair of the Board at Pope Tech since October 2010. As the SOC/NOC Lead for Black Hat since June 2016, Pope has contributed to multiple global events in Europe, Asia, and the USA. Previous roles include InfoSec Consultant, VP of IT, and IT Director at Metropolitan Theatres Corporation, and various positions at RSA Security and Utah Education Network. Pope holds a Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management, both from Western Governors University.
