Chris Williams

Director of Software Engineering at Black Cape

Chris Williams has a long and varied work experience in the software engineering and technology fields. Chris began their career in 2008 as an Intern at Cisco, where they worked on multiple different hardware platforms to automate the installation and verification of production software. In 2009, they moved to Lockheed Martin and held various roles, including Software Engineer Stf, Systems Engineer Senior, Research and Development Systems Engineer, and Engineering Leadership Development Systems Engineer. In 2016, they transitioned to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they worked as a Software Engineer. In 2017, they joined HumanGeo as a Technologist, and then moved to Maxar Technologies, where they held the roles of Technical Team Lead and Data Team Lead. Currently, Chris is the Director of Software Engineering and Senior Technologist at Black Cape.

Chris Williams completed their undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Digital Signal Processing and Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009. Chris then went on to obtain their Masters in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University in 2014. In 2017, they obtained their Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org, and in 2019 they obtained their Paramedic certification from the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire/Rescue Association.
