Colin Scanes has a diverse work experience spanning across several companies and roles. Colin started their career in 1987 at Track Data Corp, where they worked as a Traded Options Analytics Software Sales representative. Colin also served as a Traded Options Software Product Expert and later became the European Product Development and Sales Manager.

In 1999, Colin joined Bloomberg LP as an EMSX Sales and Product Manager, responsible for developing the European EOR and IOI business and building the electronic trading product. Colin also served as a Bloomberg Tradebook - FIX Project Manager, overseeing the execution-only brokerage relationships and the development of a Pairs Trading Platform.

In 2017, Colin moved on to Irisium, where they worked as a Client Solutions professional. Colin played a key role in providing solutions to clients and contributed to the growth of the company until 2018.

Recently, they joined Bitstamp in 2019 as a Market Surveillance Officer, where they are currently involved in monitoring and ensuring compliance within the market.

Throughout their career, Colin has demonstrated strong expertise in financial technology (FinTech), electronic trading, market surveillance, and sales.

Colin Scanes began their education journey in 1981 at Keele University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree. Colin'sprinciple subjects during this period were Law and Psychology, while their subsidiary subjects included Computer Science and Economics. Colin successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1984.

In 1985, Colin Scanes enrolled in Strathclyde Business School to further their education. Colin pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, specializing in the field of Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Colin successfully completed this program in 1986.
