Marcus B. has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Marcus started their career as an Assistant Accountant at BF Bok, where they handled accounting records and tax calculations. Marcus then worked as an Assistant Accountant at Ekeby Snickerifabrik AB, where they were responsible for accounting tasks and balancing ledgers.

Later, Marcus joined Posten AB as a Mailing Clerk, where they sorted and delivered mail. Marcus then moved on to Handelsbanken, where they served as a Personal Banking Advisor. In this role, they led IT projects, managed customer services and cash, and handled mortgage and credit applications.

After that, Marcus worked at Banco Santander as a KYC Analyst, evaluating mortgage applications and assessing social economy factors. Marcus also served as a Transcriptor at Sigma Technologies, where they transcribed data.

Marcus then joined Ria Financial as a Data Analyst EMEASA, providing KPI metrics and analysis for the HR and Sales departments. Marcus also tracked sales performance and led a project for the implementation of the tool Oracle.

Next, Marcus worked at Safello as the Head of Financial Crime Prevention, where they ensured compliance and delivered a safe experience for users. Marcus then took on the role of Head of Compliance and Risk, focusing on maintaining values and compliance as the company scaled.

Currently, Marcus holds the position of Senior Product Compliance Manager at Bits Technology. Marcus'srole involves rethinking how fintech products are built and connecting with service providers for Know Your Customer and Know Your Business processes.

Marcus B. obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Economics from Uppsala University, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Following this, in 2014 and 2015, they pursued studies in Business and Finance at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 2015, they also completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) program as a Bloomberg Institute, BAT Campus Ambassador. Additionally, Marcus has obtained several certifications, including the Chainalysis Reactor Certification from Chainalysis Inc. in November 2021 and the Chainalysis Ethereum Investigations Certification in August 2022. Marcus has also completed online courses such as "Building High-Performing Teams" on Coursera in May 2020 and "Modeling Risk and Realities" on Coursera in April 2020. In 2016, Marcus completed a 20-week Spanish language course at Enforex Madrid, Spain. Furthermore, they obtained the "Bloomberg Aptitude test 2014" certification from Bloomberg and the "Online trading foundation course" certification from The academy of financial trading, though the specific months of completion are not specified.
