Sean Moss-Pultz began their career in 1999 as the Owner of Zero Entropy, a small interactive design studio. In 2003, they became a Software Engineer at Fiwin, where they developed a telnet server and interface for early 802.11 access points, as well as user interfaces for PHS mobile phones. In 2005, they joined First International Computer as a Product Manager, where they were responsible for defining and leading the development of GSM-based smartphones using Windows CE + Mobile. In 2006, they became the CEO of Openmoko Inc., where they built the first open source phone, a precursor to iPhone and Android smartphones. In 2012, they joined APC (a VIA Technologies project) as an Industrial Designer and Software Strategist/Manager. Here, they designed and built simple, inexpensive cardboard computers running Firefox OS. In 2013, they became the Head of Product at EMQ. Finally, in 2014, they became the CEO of Bitmark Inc., a property system for establishing value and legal control over the world's data.
Sean Moss-Pultz received their Bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics from UC San Diego and attended San Dieguito Academy.
