Luis Covarrubias has a work experience that spans from 2017 to the present. Luis started their career at Visa as a Software Engineer, where they led the full software development lifecycle for various projects and managed a team of developers. Luis also contributed to improving development processes and driving technical improvements to legacy systems. Luis developed the Verified by Visa Test Suite application as one of their key achievements at Visa. In 2021, they joined BitGo as a Software Engineer and later took on the role of Senior Software Engineer on the Bitcoin Team. At BitGo, they have been involved in building a better bitcoin wallet and contributing to new features such as musig, fee acceleration, and ordinal inscriptions.

Luis Covarrubias holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering and Security. Luis obtained this degree from The California State University, where they completed their education in 2017.
