Matthew Seigel is currently the Head Of Engineering at Bitfount. Prior to this role, Matthew worked at Apple for 8 years, where Matthew held various positions including Engineering Manager in Privacy in Machine Learning and Siri Private Learning, as well as a Speech and Machine Learning Research Scientist. Before their time at Apple, Matthew was a Project Engineer at Mecalc, focusing on electronic module design and development. Matthew holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Speech Recognition from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing from the same institution. Matthew also has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
