Elena Burceanu is a Machine Learning Researcher and Team Lead at Bitdefender since October 2011, focusing on the application of machine learning technologies in security contexts and developing proof of concepts. Prior experience includes co-founding Inca un Rand, an innovative service for ordering in bars and restaurants, and internships involving the development of context-aware applications at Inria. Freelance work as an Android Developer, participation in Google Summer of Code with OpenIntents.org, and training roles further highlight a strong background in mobile application development. Elena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Distributed Systems, and is pursuing a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Bucharest.
