Martijn Aurik has had extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Martijn started their career in 2005 as a Redacteur at VNU Power Unlimited, where they wrote games-related content for the website. In 2007, they worked as a Content Manager at Spring o'six and later as an Interim Content Manager at Staffplanning. From 2008 to 2013, Aurik worked at WoningNet, first as an Internet Marketeer and then as a Product Manager Online.
In 2013, they joined Minute as a Product Owner and Online Community Manager. In this role, they handled support questions and built online communities, also contributing to the product team for improvements. Martijn stayed at Minute until 2019, working as the Head of Marketing. Since 2019, Aurik has been working at BCM in an undisclosed role.
Martijn Aurik completed their education from 2000 to 2001 at Educatieve Faculteit Amsterdam, where they obtained a propedeuse in lerarenopleiding Engels (English teacher training). Martijn then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in New Media at the University of Amsterdam from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Martijn obtained certifications in A.I. for Marketing & Growth from Growth Tribe Academy in May 2020 and in Growth Marketing Crash Course from the same institution in May 2016.
