Andreas Andreou has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Andreas is currently working as a Scientist at bit.bio since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh from February 2020 to October 2021, where they held an Innovation Fellowship. During this time, they conducted research in the field of biomaterials and received follow-on funding for projects related to enamel-like biomaterials and tooth remineralization. Before that, from July 2017 to November 2018, they worked as a Co-project Leader and Researcher at The University of Edinburgh, where they focused on synthetic biomaterials for transparent armor. Andreas successfully applied for funding and conducted research on the generation of human tooth enamel using biomineralization. In addition, they worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Edinburgh from September 2014 to August 2015.
Andreas Andreou's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Andreas pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General and successfully completed their studies in 2012.
Following their undergraduate studies, in 2013, Andreas joined The University of Edinburgh to pursue a Master's Degree in Systems and Synthetic Biology. Andreas completed their master's program in 2014, further expanding their knowledge in this field.
Building on their expertise, Andreas continued their education journey at The University of Edinburgh by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Synthetic Biology. Andreas commenced their doctoral studies in 2015 and successfully completed their PhD program in 2019.
