Kim Bedard is an experienced social worker with a strong background in advocacy and support for vulnerable populations. Currently serving as a volunteer on the Advisory Council board at Leduc Fcss since January 2024, Kim has been employed with Alberta Health Services as a Social Worker II since September 2018 and has held the position of RSW, BSW, PCAP at Bissell Centre since December 2012. In this role, Kim provides intensive outreach support to women at risk of having children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Kim's prior experience includes practicum positions at the Children and Family Service Association and Mwandii Mission Camp, as well as a leadership role as Team Lead for the Inner City Youth Housing Project, focusing on high-risk youth. Educational achievements include a Master of Social Work with a clinical specialty, along with multiple degrees and certifications from the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University.
