Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Bison Gear & Engineering

Paresh Patel's work experience begins with their role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tri-Cad Engineering from January 1998 to November 1998. Paresh then worked as a Design Engineer at Harper Wyman - Appliance Controls from December 1998 to March 2004, where they designed new concept products and maintained a drawing database.

In 2004, Patel joined Caterpillar Inc. as a Manufacturing Engineer, initially working as a Machine Engineer for the 994F before becoming a Manufacturing Engineer for the 988 assembly line. Paresh remained in this role until March 2008.

Starting in March 2008, Patel joined System Sensor as a Manufacturing Engineer 2. Their responsibilities included developing and maintaining Standard Work Instructions, promoting Lean Manufacturing practices, and setting up work cells with proper tooling and assembly fixtures. Paresh worked there until March 2015.

From December 2015 to July 2018, Patel worked at MPI, Microplastics, Inc. In this role, they started as a Production Support Engineer, troubleshooting and analyzing production problems. Paresh then became a Project Engineer, providing electrical, automation, and mechanical support to the production department. Finally, they were promoted to Senior Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for improving automated systems and leading the manufacturing engineers.

Most recently, Patel joined Bison Gear & Engineering in August 2022 as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. In this role, they plan, coordinates, and directs production floor improvement projects and supervises the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering staff.

Paresh Patel completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering Technology from Northern Illinois University from 1993 to 1996. In 1992, they attended Purdue University briefly, but it is unclear if they obtained a degree in Computer Engineering during that time. Patel then pursued a certification in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician, which they obtained from Elgin Community College from 1997 to 1999. In December 1999, they obtained the certification of Practicing Professional-ProE from the same institution.
