Olivia Blanton, MPH, is a dedicated public health professional currently serving as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since April 2024. With extensive experience as a Research Assistant at Birmingham AIDS Outreach, Olivia has designed and implemented a longitudinal LGBTQ+ adolescent health behavior survey and facilitated data collection and analysis. Previously, as a Gulf Scholar with The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Olivia conducted literature reviews on the impact of the built environment on human health in the Gulf South. Additional roles include Managing Editor for Aura Literary Arts Review, where Olivia led the publication of literary magazines and organized student events, as well as a Research Assistant in Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering, focusing on modular housing and health disparities. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health with a focus on Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, complemented by leadership roles in sustainability initiatives and public health associations.
