Gerhard Peter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in application management and digital collaboration. Currently serving as Director and Head of Application Management at Birkenstock Group B.V. & Co. KG since July 2021, Gerhard oversees the Global Applications department, focusing on strategic direction and modernizing the application portfolio. Previously, Gerhard worked at Festo SE & Co. KG from August 2001 to June 2021 as a Microsoft 365 Collaboration Expert, specializing in agile and digital collaboration. Gerhard's career began in research at Forschungsinstitut für anwendungsorientierte Wissensverarbeitung (FAW) from 1992 to 2001. Educational qualifications include a University Diploma in Information Science from the University of Konstanz and a Diplom (FH) in Information Science from Technische Hochschule Augsburg, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from Lancashire Polytechnic.
