Mary Whittaker is an experienced Estates Development Manager at Birkbeck, University of London since July 2019, and operates MW Consult as an Architect and Built Environment Consultant since February 2010, providing client advice and managing architectural projects. Previously, Mary served as Space and Safety Manager at King's College London Libraries from July 2014 to July 2019, developing a holistic space strategy for library buildings. As Head of Estates and Facilities at The House of St Barnabas from June 2012 to November 2018, Mary integrated estate management with charitable objectives while on the Senior Leadership Team. Earlier experience includes roles at RIBA and CABE as an advisor and enabler, and significant project leadership at YRM focusing on health and education sectors, as well as prior experience at Shillam + Smith Architects. Mary's academic credentials include an MA in Cities, Culture and Social Change from King's College London, a Dip Arch from UCL, and a BSc in Architecture from UCL.
