Erik Skansberg is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering and teaching roles. Currently serving as a Mechanical Engineer I at Birdon Group, Erik leads propulsion efforts for Waterways Commerce Cutters. As a Lead Pyrotechnics Engineer at Night Musick Productions LLC, Erik oversees large-scale pyrotechnics displays, focusing on safety and excellence. Erik also volunteers as the Metal Shop Team Captain at Clear Creek Makerspace, where responsibilities include guiding the metal shop direction and teaching welding and safety classes. Previous roles include serving as a machine shop teaching assistant at the Colorado School of Mines and as a makerspace instructor at Arapahoe Community College. Erik holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an Associate of Science degree in Engineering from Arapahoe Community College.
