Jack Butler currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Birch Lake Holdings, LP, a boutique merchant bank specializing in investing in undervalued companies and providing advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and financial restructurings since May 2016. Previously, Jack held the position of Executive Vice President at Hilco Global from May 2014 to April 2016, contributing to strategic transactions across 21 businesses. Jack has an extensive legal background, having co-founded and led the corporate restructuring practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP for 23 years, after serving as a partner at Butzel, Keidan, Simon, Myers & Graham, focusing on commercial finance. Jack holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School and an AB from Princeton University.
