Yonatan Ilan has worked in various positions since 2011. Yonatan began their career in the Israel Defense Forces as a Combat Soldier in the Yahalom Special Operations Engineering Unit, where they performed operational and professional missions with explosives, munitions, and bomb disposal. In 2016, they joined The Jerusalem Post Lite Talk as an English Teacher and Shift Manager. By 2018, they had become the Manager of about 40 Basic Level English teachers, where they were responsible for observation, training, and quality control. In 2021, Yonatan Ilan began working as a Software Engineer at Bioz, and as a Teaching Assistant at Primrose. Yonatan also began a role as a Machine Learning Researcher at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they fine-tuned a regression model for DNA sequence data accompanied by numerical labels, and used an attention score aggregation algorithm to interpret and visualize the attention mechanism of the model.
Yonatan Ilan has a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Philosophy from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained between 2017 and 2020. In 2021, they began taking Machine Learning and Deep Learning courses at Primrose.
