Nathaniel Calhoun

Chief Strategy Officer at Bioverse Labs

Nathaniel Calhoun has been working in the tech and strategy sectors since 2006. Nathaniel began their career as the Director of Education at icouldbe.org in 2006. In 2008, they took on the role of Global Coordinator of Connecting Classrooms at UNICEF. In 2009, they became the Director of Partnerships and Operations at Robertsport Community Works and the Principal & Founder of Code Innovation LLC, which offers strategic consulting and program design for governments, companies and INGOs related to the impactful use of technology. In 2010, they joined The Learning Collective as a Member. In 2013, Nathaniel became the Co-Chair of Global Impact Faculty and Managing Director of the Global Solutions Program at Singularity University. In 2017, they became a Fellow at Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF) and joined several startups as a board member or strategic advisor in the governance tech, alternative currency, agtech, biodiversity and conservation sectors. Nathaniel also began advising a science and engineering-focused startup ecosystem in New Zealand that is curated and supported by the Department of Conservation. In 2020, Nathaniel became the Chief Impact and Strategy Officer at Bioverse Labs. In 2021, they took on the role of Artificial Intelligence and Strategy Advisor to the Eco-Index, New Zealand.

Nathaniel Calhoun earned their M.A. in Literature from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Philosophy, Literature & Religion at Trinity College Dublin in 2000.
