Kalan MacRow is a technology professional with extensive experience in data engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering (Data) at BioRender, Kalan previously held multiple roles at Hootsuite, including Senior Manager, Data Platform and Data Engineering, Manager of the Data Platform, and Lead Software Engineer for the Data Platform. Prior to Hootsuite, Kalan worked at Coho Data as Lead Software Engineer on the Telemetry Data Platform, having begun the career as a Software Engineer and intern. Kalan also has experience as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the Networks, Systems and Security Lab at the University of British Columbia and has served as a Data Architect at the W. Maurice Young Centre for Applied Ethics. Kalan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia.
