Chamith Fonseka is a seasoned computational biologist with notable experience in the biotechnology sector. Currently a Senior Computational Biologist at BioNTech SE since July 2023, Chamith previously held the position of Scientist II in Computational Biology at eGenesis, Inc. from March 2022 to May 2023, and worked as a Computational Biologist at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. from November 2019 to February 2022. Academic foundations were established at Harvard Medical School, where Chamith was a PhD researcher in the lab of Dr. Soumya Raychaudhuri from September 2013 to November 2019, following a Research Assistant role at the same institution from June 2011 to July 2013. Chamith Fonseka earned a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard Medical School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University.
