Catherine Lawrence has extensive experience in the field of rare diseases. Catherine is currently serving as the Vice President Medical Affairs at Bionical Emas, where they have held various roles including Vice President, Rare Disease and Head of Rare Disease. Prior to that, they worked at Santhera Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Medical Advisor for Rare Mitochondrial and Neuromuscular Disease. Catherine also spent several years at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Medical Science Liaison for Rare Metabolic Diseases. Earlier in their career, they worked at Servier Laboratories as a Medical Liaison Specialist in Cardiology and Rheumatology, and also served as a Healthcare Development Manager and NHS Projects Coordinator. Catherine began their career as a Forensic Toxicologist at Imperial College London.
Catherine Lawrence's education history includes a Master's Degree in Scientific Communication and Medical Writing from The Manchester Metropolitan University, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Hertfordshire from 1996 to 2000, earning a BSc Hons degree in Pharmacology.
