Prior to that, they held positions at Banner Pharmacaps and Organon, focusing on quality control and analytical control, respectively.

Bart van den Brand holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Analytical Chemistry from Avans University of Applied Sciences, which they completed from 1988 to 1992. In addition, they have received a certification in Finance For Executives from INSEAD Executive Education in 2017.
