Amy Switzer is a Biotechnology Development Manager at Biome Bioplastics Limited, a position held since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Project Associate and Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from October 2018 to March 2023, and as a Research Technician at the same institution from September 2012 to September 2014, focusing on allergy mechanisms through various in vitro studies and clinical trials related to grass pollen immunotherapy. Amy Switzer holds a Ph.D. in understanding adaptation to sustained stress in Escherichia coli, a Master’s degree in Systems and Synthetic Biology, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, all obtained from Imperial College London. Early education was completed at Aylesbury High School.
