Atoosa Maleki has a diverse work experience, beginning with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California College of the Arts in 2013. Atoosa then went on to pursue a PhD from the University of Oslo in 2005, followed by a role as an R&D Scientist at ViaeX Technologies Inc. in 2019. Most recently, they have been working as both a Senior Scientist and Chief Scientific Officer at BioLumen Inc. since 2020.

Atoosa Maleki obtained their BSc in Polymer Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic. Atoosa then went on to pursue a Master of Science - MS in Chemistry at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2002 to 2005. Finally, they earned their PhD in Polymer Chemistry from UiO in 2008. Atoosa also holds a PRINCE2 (Project Management) certification from Metier Academy, Norway.
