Kazbek Toleubayev has a wealth of experience in the agricultural sector. From 2002 to 2022, they have held a variety of roles in different companies. Kazbek began their career in 2002 as a Coordinator of Agricultural Operations for the Swiss inspection company SGS in Almaty office. In 2003, they were a Research Fellow at The Kazakh Research Institute for Plant Protection and Quarantine. From 2005 to 2009, they were a PhD Researcher at Wageningen University. From 2009 to 2012, they held the roles of Deputy Director and Senior Researcher at The Kazakh Research Institute for Plant Protection and Quarantine. In 2012, they became the Head of Department for Biological Control at The Kazakh Research Institute for Plant Protection and Quarantine. From 2016 to 2019, they were an Export Area Manager/Technical Advisor for Kimitec Group and a Biocontrol/IPM Consultant for Freelancer Consultancy. Finally, in 2022 they became a Regional Manager for Bioline Agrosciences.
Kazbek Toleubayev received their B.Sc in Agronomy/Plant Protection from The Kazakh State Agricultural University between 1994 and 1999. Kazbek then obtained their MSc in Crop Science from Wageningen University & Research in 2000-2002. Between 2005 and 2009, they earned their PhD in Technology and Agrarian Development from Wageningen University & Research.
