Kevin Tan is an experienced scientist specializing in media development, gene delivery systems, and drug delivery mechanisms. Currently serving as Scientist 3 at BioLegend since October 2019, Kevin has advanced from Scientist 2 and focuses on optimizing media for improved cell growth and antibody production. Prior to BioLegend, Kevin worked as a Senior Scientist at Irvine Scientific, where responsibilities included custom media formulations and managing optimization programs. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Washington, Kevin's work in the Pun Lab involved non-viral gene delivery to the Central Nervous System, where polymer synthesis and a microbubble ultrasound system were developed to enhance gene transfection. Kevin began research as an Undergraduate Researcher at UCLA, working on polypeptide vesicles for drug delivery. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering from UCLA.
