Olle de Bruin has work experience in the field of science, with their most recent position being as a Senior Scientist at BioInvent International AB starting in 2023. Before that, they worked at DNA Genotek, where they held multiple roles. From January 2019 to April 2022, they served as a Scientist, and from June 2014 to December 2018, they worked as a Research Associate in the R&D department. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from January 2012 to May 2014.

Olle de Bruin pursued their education in the field of science, focusing on microbiology and biochemistry. Olle completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Victoria between 2004 and 2009, concentrating on the subject of biochemistry. Following this, Olle de Bruin undertook a Post Doc program at the University of Ottawa from 2010 to 2012, specializing in microbiology.
