Cassandra Crihfield has a diverse work experience. Cassandra began their career in 2010 as a Writing Tutor for the Academic Resource Center and a Lab/Teaching Assistant for the Chemistry Department at Wheeling Jesuit University. In 2011, they were a Nano REU Undergraduate Researcher at West Virginia University and in 2012, they were a Chemistry REU Undergraduate Researcher at Kent State University. From 2013-2015, they were a Graduate Research Assistant, NanoSAFE fellow, and IGERT fellow at West Virginia University, where they developed a surface modification method for the detection of atrazine in river water samples. In 2021, they began working as an Analytical Scientist at BioHybrid Solutions LLC.
Cassandra Crihfield earned their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wheeling University in 2013. Cassandra then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry from West Virginia University in 2020.
