Axel Drews currently serves as VP Global Marketing/Sales at Biofrontera Group since November 2022. Previous experience includes a role as VP Commercial at PAION AG from October 2019 to November 2022 and a long tenure at Die Grünenthal Gruppe from February 2009 to September 2019, where Axel held multiple senior positions including Country Manager BeLux and Vice President for various divisions. Prior experience includes positions with Javelin Pharmaceuticals Germany GmbH, Mundipharma International Ltd., and Ventiv Health, focusing on sales and marketing across Europe. Axel Drews holds a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Bonn, completed in 1998.
